James will be the first person to tell you that this campaign isn’t about him, but there are some very important facts that you should know.

James is Committed to Service

• He is a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps who fought for our nation and our community in Operation Iraqi Freedom. He is also still a member of the Inactive Ready Reserves.
• He frequently volunteers for and donates to causes such as Big Brothers Big Sisters, the American Cancer Society, The Flint Crisis Pregnancy Center, and local schools and charity efforts.

James Believes in Families

• He has been married for almost 7 years to his beautiful wife, Carla. They have two daughters: Amara, age 4, and Sydney, age 2.
• James grew up in a single parent home, watching his mother move from a trailer park to owning her own home. James supports programs that help people get on their feet and teach people how to create the life they’ve always wanted to live.

James Knows that Education is the Key to our Future

• In addition to a Bachelors degree in Political Science, by election day on August 3rd, James will have completed two graduate programs in International Relations and Conflict Resolution and Business Turnaround Management.
• James will be hosting a county wide Education Town Hall this year.

James is Working Hard for Small Business

• He owns his own Management Consulting Firm in Business Turnaround and Transformation, Franchise Consulting, and Startup Strategy.
• James is a Board Member of the Flint Chamber of Commerce, Flint Young Professionals Board Member, and a member of the Turnaround Management Association.
